No, this is not recommended. A sleeping bag that is too large is not adapted to baby’s body shape and may be unsafe if baby can slip inside. Baby’s head should never be able to pass through the neckline once the sleeping bag is closed. Always choose the recommended size according to baby’s height, for comfortable and safe sleep.

Move up to the next size when baby’s feet touch the bottom of the sleeping bag or when their movements seem restricted. The sleeping bag should leave enough room to move the legs, without being too large at the neckline.

TOG (Thermal Overall Grade) is the thermal resistance rating of the fabric: the higher the value, the warmer and more insulating the Magic Bag is. The TOG should be chosen according to the room temperature.

Choose the TOG according to the actual temperature in the bedroom. Also adapt the clothes worn under the sleeping bag to fine-tune baby’s thermal comfort.

For baby’s sleep, a room between 18 and 20°C remains a good guideline. Avoid overheating the room, as baby can quickly get too warm in their sleeping bag. If the room is cooler, choose a warmer TOG and adapt the clothes worn under the sleeping bag.
